IMPORTANT INFORMATION:- We  moved to Sheffield in 2003 so if you live in the South Yorkshire area and are interested in joining us do get in touch using the email address at the end of this page.

If you encounter any references to 'Galdraheim Coven'- don't be confused- these are just references to the Coven we ran in Deal, Kent and I'll be removing those as fast as I can. Our Coven here in Sheffield is named Brighdes Fire.

"Wise-Craft" students: Our move will not affect you at all- unless of course you live in or around Sheffield, then in which case you could potentially train and learn directly with us. "Wise-Craft" is a distance-learning, correspondence based course that you can undertake wherever you live.

Brighdes Fire Coven is led by a core group of  deeply experienced 3rd degree Initiates-  All of whom were initiated in direct line of descent from Alex and Maxine Sanders- the progenitors of the Alexandrian lines of Traditional initiation.. 

Brighdes Fire Coven celebrates the 8 sacred festivals of the year wheel (The Sabbats), holds working circles between the new and full moon (Esbats) to work magick, holds rites of healing and empowerment, and to strengthen our connections to the Goddess and God of Wicca, and has regular training and learning circles for those newly upon the path of the Wise (Coven Novices).

We consider that will, intent and good spirit are more important than intellectual knowledge- 'Those that do not know can learn, those that will not learn can never know'.

Brighdes Fire' website 'Mission statement':- The primary purpose of this website is to provide resources for our fellow Witches of all traditions, persuasions and predilections; no matter your level of experience or knowledge; and for those we term 'Proto-Witches'. That is those who feel the call of the Craft deep within themselves, who haven't yet stepped out or stepped very far on the path of the Wise, and who need reliable, trustworthy help and guidance to find their way forward on this path.
